Bad Kleinkircheim

Bad Kleinkircheim nestles in the midst of the Turracher mountain range and is a perfect ski resort, though it is best-known for its spas, and curative natural waters. Plenty of skiing too on both sides of the valley, with mile after mile of  great Ski Easy cruising runs, some of them long too. The resort is mainly all red runs but there is one serious black – the Franz Klammer downhill, named in honour of local hero Franz Klammer, who 25 years after his Olympic fame, is still worshipped here – and when home he skis every day. BKK has a huge thermal baths where you can swim, spa, work out or just laze in the hot waters and watch the skiers and rider zoom down at the end of the day. The town excels in fine quality hotels, and the 5-star Ronacher is one of Austria’s best houses.
